專利收合扇FANAWAY設計最近已獲香港知識產權署專利註冊處批出專利申請，申請長達3年，此收合扇設計靈感以由2004年開始澳洲工程設計師Joe Villella發明，他厭倦了傳統有風葉設計過於保守已設計出使用時展開風葉，不使用時是一戔普通吊燈，而透明風葉設計亮燈時減少轉動光影，使更多使用者能接受吊扇。Joe Villella有感市面太多盜版收合扇存在於各地而開始申請專利設計，希望各界能尊重知識產權。

The unique design of FANAWAY retractable blade ceiling fan is granted patented by Patents Registry Intellectual Property Department, HKSAR. The application had been processed for over 3 years. The inspiration by Australian Engineer, Joe Villella, tired of the traditional ceiling fans which FANAWAY could hidden the blade while not in use as well as the transparent blades could reduce up shadow on the ceiling. That hope more acceptance of using ceiling fans all over the world. Joe Villella noticed too many infringing products so to start the patent process around the world to grant respect on intellectual property.
